Great Eastern Wine Week 2026
Great Eastern Wine Week returns in 2026 for our 12th year, celebrating the people, places, wine and experiences that make Tasmania’s East Coast so special.
The festival will once again run across a focused four-day format from Thursday 22nd October – Sunday 25th October 2026, designed to create a stronger visitor experience, encourage greater engagement across the region, and deliver value for participating event holders.
The festival will commence with a signature launch event on Thursday evening, bringing together wineries, producers, tourism operators and local businesses to officially kick off the celebrations. We are also exploring the opportunity for a mystery dining experience following the launch event and would love feedback from members on possible locations and ideas.
The launch event will once again provide an opportunity for participating wineries and businesses to showcase and sell their products in a tasting-style format, creating additional exposure and revenue opportunities while bringing together visitors and the East Coast community. Following the success of previous years, we would also love to see the return of auction and fundraising activities.
Across the remainder of the festival, East Coast wineries, hospitality venues and tourism operators will host a collection of unique and boutique experiences throughout the region.
Program bookings are now open and we encourage everyone to think creatively when planning events. Visitors continue to seek authentic and memorable experiences, and collaboration across the region is highly encouraged.
Ideas could include:
- Long lunches with matched wines
- Vineyard wellness experiences
- Winemaker dinners
- Behind-the-scenes vineyard experiences
- Live music and food collaborations
- Seasonal produce experiences
- Unique partnerships with local tourism operators
Wine should remain at the centre of each experience while encouraging visitors to discover more of the East Coast.
The success of Great Eastern Wine Week continues to come from the collaboration and support of our East Coast wineries, tourism businesses, hospitality operators and local community.
